点餐时的英语用语

说起来点餐时的英语用语，我当年刚出国那会儿，那可真是尴尬得要命。记得有一次，我和朋友在美国的一家餐厅吃饭，我们俩都不会说太多英语，点餐的时候，那可真是手忙脚乱。
我：Umm, can I have a menu, please? （嗯，能给我菜单吗？）
服务员：Sure, here you go. （当然，给你。）
我当时紧张得要命，就怕点错菜。然后我看着菜单，那上面写的英文我认识，但是怎么用呢？
我：Um, I want to order... （嗯，我想点...）
朋友：What do you want to order? （你想点什么？）
我：I don't know, what do you recommend? （我不知道，你有什么推荐的吗？）
服务员：How about a hamburger? It's our special. （汉堡怎么样？这是我们的特色菜。）
我：A hamburger, okay. And what about drinks? （汉堡，好的。那饮料呢？）
服务员：Do you want coffee or water? （要咖啡还是水？）
我：Water, please. （水，谢谢。）
点完餐，我如释重负，生怕再出什么洋相。后来，我发现点餐其实挺简单的，就是多用几个常用词。比如：
- Water, please. （请给我水。） - I'd like a salad, please. （请给我一个沙拉。） - Could I have a piece of bread? （能给我一片面包吗？） - How much is the check, please? （请给我算一下账。）
