海獭是海洋哺乳动物，它们可是很会享受生活的。它们一天到晚就爱躺在水面上晒太阳，有时候还会在水里翻滚玩耍。你知道吗，海獭的体温是恒温的，所以它们得在水里或者岸上找个暖和的地方，不然就会感冒。
海獭的皮毛密度非常高，比羊毛还厚，而且还是橙色的，看起来特别温暖。这层皮毛不仅能保暖，还能防水，让它们在水里也能保持干燥。不过，这层皮毛也成了它们的天敌——人类。在19世纪，海獭的皮毛被大量猎杀，用做皮草，差点儿让它们灭绝。
现在，海獭的保护工作做得还不错。从1990年代开始，它们的数量就开始慢慢回升了。不过，说实话，我当年也没想明白，为什么人类要为了几块皮毛去猎杀这些可爱的小动物。
